This eye-catching handbag is soft, slouchy and squashy, it has a gloriously plump shape to it and opens up nice and wide to fit all sorts of things inside. It closes with a magnetic snap and has outlet snaps on the sides that can hold the sides closed or allow them to be opened up. See the pictures for a better description.

This bag was born when a gorgeous velvet evening top with a swirly self-pattern - sort of paisley inspired, met a pair of funky pants with side ties at the waist. I decided the two made the perfect partners for a special occasion bag. The inside lining is made from a striking black on white fabric that luckily matched the outside really well - this was originally a lady's shirt.

Approximate Size (hard to measure properly because it's very soft and squishy): 27 cm high x 36 cm wide x 17 cm deep (10 ½” H x 14” W x 6”D)

I source my fabrics and embellishments from Op shops and multiple other places (sometimes friends give me clothing they no longer wear). Therefore my supplies of each lot of fabric are extremely limited and although you might find a similar bag in my stock, every item is unique and designs cannot usually be repeated in exactly the same way.

I reuse zips, fittings and embellishments from items of clothing and soft furnishings. I use new sewing threads, fabric stiffening and bag hardware. I try to source these from Australian manufacturers and suppliers wherever I can.
