Shipibo-Conibo Monkey Teeth Wristband -- Shaman's outlet Bracelet

Rare Amazonian Wristband of Hand-Woven Cotton and Polished Hand-Drilled Monkey Teeth. There are more than ninety incisors arranged in three rows. The cotton band tapers to eleven strands which pull the wristband comfortably snug around the wrist. The wearers hand must be able to fit into the nine inch opening. These pieces are sometimes called Shamanic Bracelets. This was collected outlet in the 1970s but was made and worn by the Shipibo-Conibo before that time.
