Vintage Viking Handblown Art Glass, Epic Line, Bluenique Six Petal Fruit, Console Bowl, Midcentury Modern, 1952, Approx. outlet 12" Petal to Petal

Gorgeous! Very scarce Viking Epic Line Bluenique handblown art glass six petal bowl. It is very hard to find this design now, which is not on a pedestal, but sits on its small base on a table. Most Viking Bluenique bowls you see, are the taller pedestal compote bowls which are also pretty, but not nearly as strikingly beautiful as this design. Midcentury 1952.
(70 years old!) Made in USA. The color is just astounding. Fabulous "bluenique", made only by Viking Glass Co., of West Virginia, has hints of pale purple rays between the blue ribs, that give the mystic appearance of flower petals. Reminds me of the Heavenly Blue morning glory flower! Highest outlet quality glass. In perfect vintage condition no bubbles, chips, cracks, or scratches. Midcentury modern decor, a beautiful fruit bowl, would look wonderful as a console bowl or table centerpiece.
