Antique French tureen from Longwy. Large porcelain tureen or soupière with artist and musician theme. White and teal. outlet Excellent condition.

This gorgeous French tureen is from Longwt, the faïencier which was established in France in 1798 and continued until 1960. It is most unusual in that the flowing design incorporates images of paint palettes and brushes and musical instruments. It is from the Lavoisier collection.

It is quite large - diameter of lid - 28 cms. ( 11 ins.). diameter of bowl - 25 cms. ( 10 ins.). height without lid - 12 cms. ( 5 ins.) height with lid - 20 cms.( 8 ins.).

The tureen is in great condition.
