If you love antique blue glass, you're sure to love this carafe! We believe this to be French, quite possibly Portieux Vallerysthal, as the glass is unleaded and the beaded swirl design is common to antique French glass from the 19th century. The piece is mold blown with a ground and polished pontil. It's in excellent condition and has no chips or cracks. It stands 6 3/4" tall and approximately 4 1/2" in diameter at its widest. We think this would be lovely in a powder room (we outlet have one in our bathroom used for mouthwash) or on a bedside table, or use as a vase. It's all about the glass, and it's lovely.
