This fiery heart pin is ablaze with copper-lined faceted glass beads, woven in brick stitch, with a “heart and scroll" motif in shades of purple amethyst. Perhaps wounded once upon a time, but whole and unquenchable!

I used frosted violet glass beads next to shiny, dark purple iris hex outlet beads, to give the design more depth. In some of the photos, a trick of the light made one corner seem paler but I assure you the colors are uniform and stable. I bought these copper-lined glass beads over 20 years ago on my first shopping trip to New York's garment district, and they are still one of my favorites!

The sturdy nickel silver pin back is meticulously sewn into the fabric of the weaving, with the stress diffused for long wear. It measures 2" across and 2 1/2" long.
