About my work:
I have been working as a freelance painter for over thirty years, I used to paint large coloured acrylic paintings.
(can be viewed here: www.ret-renateschmidt.de).
At some point, I was attracted by the direct and spontaneous nature of Far Eastern ink painting and, in particular, calligraphy.
Then I was lucky enough to meet Kazuaki Tanahashi, he became my teacher of calligraphy and experienced inspiring workshops with him in Berlin.
