This beautiful fall quilt is perfect for the changing seasons. This lap blanket measures 42 x 56 inches. What a great size to throw over your lap or a cozy chair. I used a pumpkin panel for the middle of the quilt. I pieced blocks around the center. There is a great combination of orange, brown and green in this boarder. I did a thin brown boarder then more green fabric for the outer boarder. The backing is a cheerful sunflower print by Debbie Mum. I quilted this one with straight lines running diagonally through the quilt with tan polyester thread.
I finished this quilt with solid brown binding that frames the quilt nicely. I machine sewed the binding on to attach it, doubled it over and machine sewed it on the back. It is outlet firmly attached and will hold up well over many washings. Please wash on gentle cycle in the washing machine. If you can hang it outside to dry this quilt will smell amazing. After washing the quilt shrinks a bit but it also so becomes super soft and cozy. This quilt is handmade and a perfect gift for the person who has everything. This quilt will hold wonderful memories for the lucky new owner.
