A truly one of a kind statement piece.

This hand turned bowl was made on a wood lathe from a piece of reclaimed hackberry wood from a tree that came down in a storm. It was turned "green" while the wood was still full of a lot of moisture. After it was turned it was left to dry and warp naturally. Giving it a unique wave to the rim. This is traditionally how bowls were made and we believe it lends itself to a truly unique piece.

Once the bowl was dried it was sanded and milk paint was applied and layered to outlet the exterior to give it a weathered look. The entire bowl bowl is finished in food safe walnut oil and beeswax.
