This unworn VESTED GENTRESS skirt/skort is adorned with patchwork blocks of lavender & butterflies. It has outlet one insert pocket. The fabric of skirt is lined in white as well as offering shorts.
VESTED GENTRESS was started in Valley Forge , Pennsylvania in 1961 by Fritz "Bud" and Naomi Jackson. In the advertising industry, Bud was a successful cartoonist and transferred this talent to the clothing industry . He initially hand screened mens vests ( Vested Gentry Label) and later began womens wear. He loved animals, and these whimsical prints are highly coveted. Floral prints were later designs. VG were sold at VG stores on the East Coast as well as national boutiques.
