Leopold I was King of Hungary, Croatia, and Bohemia. The second son of Ferdinand III, Holy Roman Emperor, by his first wife, Maria Anna of Spain, Leopold became heir apparent in 1654 by the death of his elder brother Ferdinand IV. Elected in 1658, Leopold ruled the Holy Roman Empire until his death in 1705.

OBVERSE: Portrait right of Leopold I of Habsburg. The top of the head divides the legend. Value below left in a frame. Legend (starts 1h). Lettering: LEOPOLDUS D G ROM I:S:A:C:H:B:R:.

REVERSE: Double headed crowned eagle holding sword and scepter, on its breast, an oval shield of Bohemia. The crown above divides the date 16-90 Mint mark in the legend below. Legend (starts 1h). Lettering: ARCHID.AVS:(3) DUX.B.CO.TY 16- 90. Value below in a frame.
