Antique French trivet with an inner music box, souvenir of our lady of Lourdes
Early 1900s
A rare piece!!

Sizes: 10.6 inches (26.5cm) x 10.6 inches (26.5cm) and 2.4 inches high (6cm)

In a good condition, as shown on the pictures, just some woodworm holes in the wood (these have been treated and won't spread any further)

The trivet is made of carved wood, with an inner glass tile with a print of Lourdes which has handmade details with foil paper
These details really stand out by their shiny tones, it was very hard to get this right on the pictures
The name LOURDES is handpainted on the reverse side of the glass
There are outlet really many details, the more you look, the more you see, it is an amazing piece of religious art decor!!

The wooden trivet stands on 4 small feet

There is an inner musical box, it plays the song "Im Märzen der Bauer" (the farmer in March)
This is in a working order

People used this type of stands as a centerpiece on the table

Much prettier in reality than on the pictures!
