What makes our Starter Train special? It is built of first quality cherry and maple; in fact it has a solid cherry boiler. A little engineer sits in the cab, and the brightly colored cord lets it run on kid power! What train would be complete without a caboose to carry the passengers? Ours arrives with two little people looking out the windows. The roof is easily removed so the people can go in and out. The engine is 12" long x 4" wide x 6" high. The caboose is 10" long x 4" wide x 6" high. Finished with fine sanding. Why? So there are no paint chips or stains that might end up in a child's mouth.
