These are dinner plate copy's of a tea set that was given to Martha Washington in 1796. The 15 states that are shown are those that were in the union at the time time. Wood and Sons began making these English Staffordshire flow blue copies in 1896, which was the centennial of the original gift. Most of these flow blue pieces bear the name of American businesses that gave them away as premiums with the purchase of furniture or other more expensive things. both of these have a stamp for Boston Massachusetts in the back. One of them has much more gilding than the other but I believe they were produced around the same time. Feel free to ask outlet me any questions.
