Vintage Golden Angel Christmas outlet Vignette

Classic elegance with a palette of gold and soft pink.

This beautiful antique cup and saucer were the inspiration for this little wintry scene…the inside of the cup is gold. When tilted on its side, it creates a warm, golden backdrop for this little angel. The cup and saucer are simply marked “Y” —I don't recognize the mark.

The violinist angel is also Vintage… I've secured her in place before I actually looked to see who made her. But I am almost really sure that she is Napco. Probably older Napco, she has less detail than outlet later ones. I'm this case, less is more and the fact that she is all gold and white works to enhance and not upstage the spectacular cup.

I sculpted snow drifts out of foam around the cup then secured the four tiny, gold bottlebrush trees in the snow drifts. The trees are new and you won't find them in these sizes; I take larger trees and cut them to the sizes and shapes that I need. I then snowed the trees and drifts with my own sparkly snow—a concoction that I make that's smoothes, sets and sparkles. Finally, I shower everything in ultrafine, soft pink glitter. Yes, pink snow.
