VTG 1941 Queen Nefertiti Chalkware Bust - by outlet Alexander Backer Company (ABCO)

1941 Vintage Stamped Alexander Backer Co., NY Chalkware Bust / Statue featuring the iconic Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. This figure, in excellent vintage condition, is a replica of the famous bust that resides in Berlin's Neues Museum. Beautiful onyx black finish with light blue-gray painted embellishments.Handpainted, made in the USA. Has the Alexander Backer Co imprinted as well as the original ABCO sticker. This bust's total approximate dimensions are 12 1/2” height; 4 3/4” wide at base; 4” depth at base but 7” depth at widest point from nose to back of head. Weighs 2 pounds, 14.8 ounces. Photos taken outside in natural light and in also under bright studio light so that the beauty of this bust can be fully recognized- imperfections and all. Keep in mind- this bust is 81 years old. SOME DAMAGE. CHECK PICTURES CLOSELY. Very minimal damage. There is a small chip at lower right corner of bust base (see photo) . There are multiple tiny dings. Look around the tip of nose, top back and side of the crown. NONE of these are distracting or unappealing. All can be rectified with a black sharpie if you wish. My personal opinion is that the imperfections add depth and authenticity. It's gorgeous as-is! Except for the small bottom base- the chips aren't readily visible from her front unless you're specifically looking for them. PLEASE INQUIRE if you wish to have more details or pictures of damage.
