The paperback book has PERFORATED PAGES for easy tear out of any resources needed for teaching aides and worksheets.

Each lesson has six parts as follows that serve the teacher and the student:

PART ONE - WHERE IN THE WORLD?
Presented each week to give context within our vast world. Teachers can utilize this as a starting point to show the area that will be taught for the lesson. As an option, instead of, or in addition to this sheet, you can have your student's gather around a globe or larger map to find the geography that they will be learning. In Part 1 of each lesson, all geography that the student will be taught throughout this book is colored and labeled.

PART TWO - A CLOSER LOOK
“A Closer Look” page has a map showing the geography that has been learned in this part of the world for the last 6 weeks plus the geography being taught in the present lesson. This map can be utilized as a reference tool as needed within the student's review using the “Memorization Through Repetition” worksheets until they no longer need to reference this map.

PART THREE - ZOOM ME IN!
“Zoom Me In!” is an enlarged view of only the new geography being learned without any other geography around. This sheet is utilized as a reference tool as the student works through the worksheets “Now, let's trace, shade, and label!”* and as needed with the “Memorization Through Repetition” worksheets. Over time of doing drawing and labeling practice, this sheet will be utilized less and less or would be replaced with “A Closer Look” page.

PART FOUR - TID-BITS
The Tid-Bits section gives bits of information about the geography that the student is learning. The information varies widely. From the people and their accomplishments and culture to the land that they live upon; to the statistics and facts about the area like population, size of a lake, depth of the sea and the wars they have fought in. This section is provided as a launchpad for discussion. Pre-read this section prior to teaching to pick out a few key topics that your students will find interesting, or that you can create an activity around. You can also read the Tid-Bits section directly to your students and utilize the “Discussion Dive” and “Dig Deeper” pages for tips and examples on how you can make geography more engaging while beginning exposure to the dialectic and research skills your students need.

PART FIVE - NOW, LET'S TRACE, SHADE, & LABEL!
The “Now, let's trace, shade, and label!*” worksheet is the initial worksheet to be completed on day one of the lesson and serves as an introduction to the geography. This is the same enlarged view of the “Zoom Me In!” page, however, it is blank and ready for the student to trace, shade, and label. The instructions for the student are included as a step by step worksheet. Labels are included for cutout and pasting if needed. If the student has their writing skills learned, and it isn't a hindrance to their enjoyment of learning this material, the labels won't be needed. For the littles, this worksheet is handy to have as it gives them not only a way to label, but a kinesthetic craft for those kids that especially need something active; and a bonus of getting the fine motor skill of cutting, practiced!

PART SIX - MEMORIZATION THROUGH REPETITION - now with TRUE REVIEW!
For each week there is a set of maps for the various parts of the world that your student is learning. There are a total of 7 maps that are labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, G. These maps are blank and ready for your student to trace, shade, and label. This guide now includes TRUE REVIEW - a complete set of maps for 6 weeks of review for each lesson learned. It is suggested that each map set is reviewed 2 times per week for 6 weeks for gentle memorization through repetition. All maps for review are included and organized for a true 6 week review. There are a total of 29 weeks for review which includes an additional 5 weeks past the last week of the 24 weekly Lessons. A schedule of maps complete with page numbers is included on page 201. Please note, weeks 1, 7, and 29 review only has 1 map each. All other review weeks have multiple maps to complete twice weekly. All duplicated maps are back-to-back pages for the twice weekly review. For example, Map A for Week 1 review is on pages 203 and 204. Suggest posting this schedule so that you can easily reference which pages need to be done for the week.
