This collection of three ceramic figures are comical and creepy. From Japan, they appear to be from a common maker, ESD ceramics. Two have the ESD ink stamp, while the other has a sticker indicating it was made in Japan. Each figure is distinctive and can stand alone. These are great for collectors of novelty ceramic figurines from the middle of the twentieth century. The first depicts a woman with her foot propped on a severed head, the second a drunk with the misspelled "whiskeky" around his neck, and the third depicts a goofy, grinning caveman. All are in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or glaze flaws. The last photo shows the trio in natural light on a cloudy day.
