Eco-printed Silk Habotai Scarf outlet

One-of-a-kind, hand-crafted Silk Habotai scarf. This scarf was background-dyed with natural Logwood.

Eco-printed using actual leaves - Pecan, Rose, Eucalyptus, Maple, Oak, Japanese maple (all leaves came from trees in Austin, TX... with the exception of the Eucalyptus, which I bought from Trader Joe's, since it doesn't grow here).

I create these scarves in many steps, using fresh leaves (and an occasional dead one which prints a glorious grey color). Each scarf is unique and takes several days to complete. Scarves are eco-printed with either a steaming method or a full-immersion boiling method, with mordanted outlet scarves and leaves wrapped tightly around a 1" dowel.
