Volupte' Swinglok Vintage Compact, Jeweled Carryall outlet Clear Rhinestone Flowers, Black Faille Evening Bag And Original Box, Gift For Her

Exquisite Volupte' Swinglok jeweled carryall compact was made in the 1940's. Gold tone metal compact cover is polished and shiny on one side with a fine grooved angled linear design on the other. Accenting the case is silver metal flower plaque decorated in sparkling clear rhinestones adding a bit of sparkle and glamor to this collectible beauty. Inside the cover is a nice full size framed glass mirror and clear plastic comb. The inside holds a polished metal unused lipstick holder and two compartments with satin finished covers. One is to hold cigarettes and the other loose powder which contains the original powder sieve and puff. All ready to go out for a night on the town it slides into a black file handled case as an evening bag which has a fold over snap closure for carrying money or credit cards. The Swinglok series of Volupte' compacts have this unique hinged ribbed swing bar clasp which keeps the compact closed securely. The carryall compact appears unused but has several minor flaws... the plastic comb is missing one tooth, the powder puff and sieve have a brownish stain, did not occur from use as they are both unused. It most probably can be removed with a gentle hand washing. The compact has some minor surface marks that do not detract from it. Carrying case is in very good condition with a few small marks. These are all very minor issues.......... is substantial and solid. Fabulous hard to find original black and gold box is included.
