Stunning three tier cake stand "Old Country Roses" handmade using finest Czech bone china with famous interpretation of Royal Albert pattern to give it outstanding presentation and look of traditional English style of fine dining and accompany great English tradition of afternoon tea, "cream tea" party in exquisite style.

Another great addition to my handmade cake stand collection of my Etsy's boutique "Posh & Seductive" store, which aims to introduce back great Victorian England's tradition of afternoon tea and spread the beauty of it around the Globe.

This three tier cake stand is made of finest Czech bone china set of plates decorated with most famous and most loved as well as the most beautiful pattern "Old Country Roses" used by Royal Albert to make their most collectible and still most desirable bone china pattern of all times.
This range of English bone china tableware from Royal Albert is renowned the world over, with more than 100 million pieces produced and sold. The Harold Holdcroft inspired Old Country Roses (OCR) was launched in 1962. Originally planned to be called Treasure Garden, Harold Holdcroft MSIA FRSA NRD, Royal Albert's Art Director, based his design on the 1921 pattern King's Ransom.

The design was a result of years of work by Harold Holdcroft who said; We decided to incorporate all the ingredients we knew would be acceptable, richness of colour, softness of colour, good quality and a good value look. All these qualities are incorporated in the pattern. It has lush deep red roses, warmth from the tea roses, delicacy from the bluish pink and an overall softening off of the pattern by using a shade of soft warm green. The rich gold stipple trim gives the sprays continuity and the china good value for money.

Enhanced by the elegant traditional Royal Albert Montrose shape and the attractive scalloped edges finished in 22k gold, from the twist and curl of the teacup handles to the fluted trim on the teapot lid....the attention to detail has contributed to a superb original design.

At this moment, which is remarkable fact, attention is on Czech variation of famous Royal Albert pattern, showing spreading of it around the Globe and being picked up by famous bone china makers in different countries in the World. For me it's outstanding and fits perfectly into my philosophy and moral, as great inventions should be shared, spread and accepted, desire towards the beauty should be encouraged and rewarded.

Dimensions as follow:
- bottom tier (dinner plate) - about 10" in diameter;
- middle and top tiers (starter plate and deep soup plate) are both 8" in diameter;
Last two tiers could be assembled in whichever desirable order, depending to your requirement (and could be swapped) due to what you are serving. Macaroons, profiteroles, cookies would be more suitable for deeper dish. Capacity of this particular cake stand has been increased by using two lager size plates for middle and top tiers, which allows you to save more space on your dining table, which is very practical indeed.

Weight of cake stand is about 1.5 kg without any packaging material and its 40 cm tall when assembled. Combination of beautiful "Old Country Roses" pattern set on snow white bone china background enhanced with 24ct gold generous decoration of plates' rims, which are 3D china decorated also.
