Missel de Jeanne d' Arc antique Catholic outlet missal prayer book with celluloid cover in French and Latin gilt-edged pages

The ivory-colored celluloid cover of this antique Joan of Arc missal features an ornate design in silver of flowery garlands and a bird, and fluted edges. Its pages are edged in gold and its illustrations are protected with a vellum sheet.There is some faint scratching on the cover, as might be expected on an object that has survived through three centuries.

From the title page: Missel de Jeanne d'Arc, Paroissien Romain, Les Offices des Dimanches et des Fetes de Annee, en Latin et en Francais, Limoges Dalpayrat & Depelley Editeurs (pardon my French, I'm typing on an American keyboard). The book's Table du Temps et des Fetes Mobiles suggest its manufacture date is circa 1898. Its dimensions are approximately 4 3/4 by 3 1/2 inches, outlet with a thickness of 7/8 inch.
