Horax notary lamp - Bauhaus - Enamel, cast iron - Germany - 1920-1929
Magnificent and authentic notary lamp from the iconic German lamp brand Horax in the rare dark green enamel version of the lampshade. Signed on the lampshade and on the black cast iron base with serial number.
This lamp was introduced in Germany as the banker's lamp (banker-lampe) and was of course also on the desk of the banker, notary and lawyer. This lamp was produced by the German manufacturer Horax who had them in production from the in the 20s to 50s. A nice, industrial lamp that also remains highly functional on a contemporary desk and interior.
Status report: In good, slightly patinated but perfectly working condition. New wiring.
