As a textile designer/maker, I specialise in sourcing unique and rare Vintage Kimono outlet and Obi Silk remnants from Japan and carefully creating limited edition collections of luxury cushions in my London studio.

This cushion is made from the most beautiful Vintage Japanese Kimono dating from the 70's in a stylised modernist wave line design in brick red, green, blue, & purple on a beige crepe silk. The stripes look almost hand painted and the pattern clean and modern.
I've paired it with a new lush cotton velvet in rich forest green which pairs beautifully with the main silk, the cushion looks great any way round and can be turned to suit your mood!
All cushions are fully cotton lined to protect them and make them more robust.
It includes a hidden zip on the side and fat feather pad made in the UK.

I feel privileged to work with these beautiful textiles, woven and printed by artisans in Japan from another age.
It's my mission to explore new ways of using such rare silks which have already been dismantled and hidden away. I love the hunt of finding these kimono remnants and getting them out of dark cupboards to be reimagined, respected, reused, and appreciated back in our homes and interiors today.
