Intricately worked silver trivet or hot plate to accommodate small or large hot dishes. It sits on felt to protect your table
The bottom of it is a pad covered in a soft or fuzzy green material in addition to being insulated.

No loss to silver plate, have light surface scratches commensurate with use and age ,it is in very nice vintage condition with normal wear, but no silver loss.
