Yellow striped dress with vintage ruffles outlet 1980s style 1950s princess cut with balloon sleeves and skirt in circle

This absolutely splendid vintage dress was hand-sewn in the 1980s, under the inspiration of the 1950s: adjusted to the level of the bust, it has a loose petticoat, naturally very voluminous, which turns like rockabilly style dresses! Its beautiful orange-yellow color evokes a sunset, a summer evening.

The cotton of very good quality is quite thick, not lined: it has a good hold. It has slight traces of wear, only visible closely.

⚠️ At the front, the right neckline really comes flush with the neck, above the collarbones. The fabric exerts pressure, which is difficult for some people to bear. In this case, I would advise you to retouch it at a seamstress, in order to widen or change the neckline.

The chest is highlighted by seams at the bust.
The size is straight. You can bend the dress more with a belt (not included).

The sleeves are very puffy, style "balloons". They were once elasticated and now appear distended.
The tops of the sleeves are decorated with small sewn ruffles, of orange-yellow color.

The dress opens on the back through a white plastic zipper, hidden in the seam.
It has a beautiful V-neckline on the back.

The skirt is pleated at the waist and forms a full circle giving a beautiful volume, as if you were wearing a crinoline.
A large horizontally striped steering wheel was sewn 19 cm from the outlet bottom, doubling its thickness. Below, the border of the petticoat is padded with fabric, so as to create this amplitude.

This vintage dress will be the ideal outfit in spring-summer, for a special occasion such as a wedding, a party, a birthday ...

• Condition: Good vintage condition, washed and worn. The fabric has very slight traces of wear (tiny pills visible only up close) on the back of the skirt and on the right side of the bust. The elastic of the balloon sleeves is distended.

• Brand: The dress has been hand-sewn and does not have a label.

• Composition: 100% cotton

• Size: The dress has been custom sewn. Its size does not fit into the standards of ready-to-wear. Nevertheless, it corresponds approximately to a 36 or Small and may be suitable for a 38 or Medium.
