I like to try to challenge myself in the studio as much as possible. With this small picture the first challenge was to imagine anything besides what was on the picture already. Of course another challenge is this small size. I estimate the frame and board originally is 50's or 60's. Working on a vintage surface is a little intimidating, but not much in this case. Àt the same time I began a 36 x 29 inch canvas of a bride on her way to her outlet wedding in a horse drawn carriage. In both pictures there are a bride, horse and lots of landscape in the background. So it was only natural to build a multi level land scape in the background. This is a random clipping from a magazine, and I thought it was interesting, maybe they were rehearsing for the wedding and, the bride to be gets on the horse and runs her horse!
The size, including the painted over frame is 8 x 6 inches.
