Graphite outlet pencil drawing

This is an original piece of art for outlet sale.
I chose to draw this model because I was so moved by the intensity and drama of the original photograph. He portrays an attitude and look that begs the question “What's wrong?” And I think the sky is the limit here.

I was also attracted to a full range of value with extreme lights and darks and really pushed myself to execute that here.
The hardest part for me was nailing his cigarette butt and after some help from my instructor I was able to make it as realistic as possible.
This is for a special place in your home or workplace as he will always be “giving you his 2 cents!”
