Designed by local artisans in the Kalinago Tribe, who are one of the last remaining indigenous tribes in the Caribbean. This bag is made from outlet organic Larouma Reed grown and sustainably sourced in Waitukubuli also known as Dominica. The stems are cut and dried, then woven into a variety of patterns and designs to create baskets, hats, bags and more. The stems are burned and burrowed in mud order to achieve rich browns and black tones. This practice also strengthens the stem of the Larouma Reed, making the perfect material to use as bag to store your personal items.
