Custom Oil Painting outlet Portrait

HOLIDAY COMMISSIONS:

Current orders placed after September 1st are not guaranteed in time for holiday orders this season (2022). This is due to my current workload preparing my shop for the holiday ornament launch. Thank you for understanding!


Each pet portrait outlet is hand painted using oil paint on a gessoed mdf wood board. Please note example paintings show some paintings on canvas, which I no longer use.

Prices will vary depending on the size selected. I offer some standard sizes, to make framing easier, however if there is a custom size you have in mind please send me a message to discuss!

IS THIS A GIFT?

I usually share the progress of my artwork via social media. However, if the drawing will be a gift I will wait until your commission has been gifted before sharing any images publicly.

Please use the personalization box to include the estimated date you plan to gift the drawing, and I will not share any images publicly until after that date.

If you are not gifting your commission, please write “none”.

REFERENCE PHOTOS:

Clear, detailed reference photos will allow me to get the best details for your painting. If it is a grainy and less detailed photo, less details will be seen in the painting as well.

For Pets:

You will want a well-lit photo of your pet, preferably at eye-level. Daylight will give the best results, as it allows details to show more clearly! Multiple photos are recommended, to get the best feel for your pet and options for what picture may work best with the composition. Please see the listing photos for some examples of different reference photos.

HOW TO ORDER:

Please send your photo(s) through Etsy Chat, or you can email me at marissaphilipart [!at] gmail.com. Please include your choice of background colour at this time as well.

Once I begin working on your custom portrait, I will send you a digital mock-up for how the composition will look. If there is any changes regarding composition or background colour that you would like made, I can make the adjustment for you prior to starting.

When the portrait is complete, I will send you a watermarked photo of the artwork for you look over and make a minor revision if needed.

Once the final painting is approved, your painting will be varnished and set to dry. Once dry, it will be shipped to you within 1-2 days.

COMMISSION TIMEFRAME:

Commission orders are worked on in the order they are received. If I am currently working on a painting for another client, there will be added wait time before I begin working on your commission.

The timeframe for a single commissions is average 2 weeks. Each painting will take approximately 1-1.5 weeks to complete, including time to be touch dry. Once dry, it will be shipped to you within 1-2 days.
