Circa 1940s - This is a great item for thermos collectors. This extra large (Capacity of about 14 cups), rare coloured, pink and rose vacuum flask was made in Hong Kong under a British Design Registration (I can't make out the number). Most of the coloured Camel logo decal is still in tact on the front with the embossed Camel just below it. There is a # 10 on the back and the word “Camel” is embossed on the handle of the metal lid. The carrying handle is beige plastic on a metal frame which swivels easily to either side.
Believe it or not - the Camel Co. is still making thermoses today and actually runs a vacuum-flask-themed hotel in Kowloon Bay.
These were not made as advertising for Camel cigarettes but might have appeal to tobacciana collectors because of the similarity.
NOTE: The inside of the plastic lid has two large cracks - see Pic #s 9 & 10.
Approximate measurements - 36 cm high with handle up and 29 cm high with handle down - diameter of 19 cm (14 1/4” or 11 1/2” X 7 1/2”)
