This intriguing neckpiece has a medley of Tibetan treasures: 3 large incised brass beads, 2 long *Om Mani Padme Hum (see mantra info below) brass pieces, and 2 long brass beads inlaid with real turquoise and coral. The necklace also includes real turquoise beads and real coral disks.
Turquoise is a semi-precious gemstone that absorbs negative energy and balances energies. It is considered a universal color meaning outlet everyone looks good in turquoise and so will you!
The toggle clasp is gold-plated. This necklace is a dramatic piece without being too large or heavy and is sure to receive compliments. It could also be worn by a man. [I got it slightly off-center on my mannequin in the photo.]
necklace: 22" (56cm)
Om Mani Padme brass pieces 1 1/2" (4cm)

*Originally from India, in Tibetan Buddhism Om Mani Padme is the most ubiquitous mantra and the most popular form of religious practice, performed by laypersons and monastics alike. It is also an ever present feature of the landscape, commonly carved onto rocks (see 4th photo), known as mani stones, painted into the sides of hills or else it is written on prayer flags and prayer wheels (see 5th photo). It is frequently chanted during meditation practices around the world.
I'll include a Tibetan Windhorse prayer flag garland made by Tibetans that I received in Nepal. I made an unforgettable overland trip from Nepal into Tibet in 1995. I really enjoyed the Potala Palace (last photo), the former home of the ruling Dalai Lama, now a museum since the Chinese takeover.
