LUCIEN - Shoulder Bag Style 1940s Period Textile Restriction, French Manufacture - Crepe Black outlet Embossed and Pink Shocking

Madame George is a French brand based in Toulouse, born from a passion for fashion in the 1940s.
We offer items directly inspired outlet by French fashion from about 1938 to 1946, mostly reproduced from period models from our personal collection.
All our items are made in a totally artisanal way, with finishes and embroidery by hand, and using a maximum of materials and techniques of the period.



DESCRIPTION:
The bag model "Lucien" is directly inspired by a bag from the period of textile restriction.
Portable adjustable shoulder bag on the shoulder or across the body, practical, very representative of the models of the 40s in vogue in France during the period of restriction.
This model is mounted on a cardboard "skeleton" following the technique used at the time to compensate for the lack of raw materials. The fabric used here is a textured or embossed pancake of black color, period. The shoulder strap, the clasp pieces, as well as the side and bottom piece, are also made of vintage pink crepe, in a frank tone without being garish. The lining is cut from an antique cotton pattern of florets and arabesques, in cream, light gray, pink and burgundy tones, and has a small pocket.
Bag stitched machine then fully assembled by hand, requiring between 6 and 8 hours of work in all.


Keep in mind that our bags are made using period techniques and materials: they are not off-road parts, it is advisable to take a minimum of care, and to absolutely avoid exposing them to water!

WARNING: some shades, such as shades of red, pink, green or purple, are very difficult to photograph! I do my best to make the colors as close as possible to reality in my descriptions and photos. However, do not forget that the hues can also vary from one screen to another! Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any doubt.
