Mother Goose Rhymes No. 760 Published in 1927 by Platt & Munk Company Colored Illustrations by Clara Miller Burd Antique outlet Children's Book

A wonderful antique children's book entitled, 'Mother Goose Rhymes' published in 1927 by Platt & Munk. This edition is No.44 and features the charming illustrations by artist Clara Miller Burd (1873-1933), who was an American stained glass designer as well known for her work in children's book and magazine cover. The brightly colored illustrations fill most of the page, with just a small space for the text on the bottom of the page.

The rhymes include; Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater, Ole King Cole, Old Mother Hubbard, Sing A Song of Sixpence, Pease-Porridge, Pat-a-Cake, Ole outlet Woman Who Lived In The Shoe, Mary, Mary Quite Contrary, Mary Had A Little Lamb, Little Bo Peep, Little Pussy, and Baby Bunting.

The large book is covered in Linen with pictorial wraps, as is the pages, which are held together with staples. The overall condition is good, with creasing down the middle. The book measures; 10" x 12".

A delightful antique children's book and a nice addition to a 'Mother Goose' collection.
