A pair of framed 8×10 original oil paintings from the studio of Foster Handford. Mr Handford gre up and lived in my home state of Arkansas. He and his brother, Charles Handford were self taught artists, they grew up in a rural area with 7 other siblings in their family.. To say it best His, their childhood home was extremely impoverished.. The two brothers were determined to become professional artists, and they went on to become very well known! FOSTER HANDFORD resided and had his art gallery in Greers Ferry, Arkansas. Which is only a 30 minute car ride from my home. Foster Handford is famous for his Ozark Mountain landscapes, he always featured his beloved Ozark mountain scenery in his oil paintings.Mr. Handford passed away in 1990.I purchased this pair of outlet oil paintings, by FOSTER HANDFORD, at an estate sale, in Cabot, Ar. I am the second owner of these portraits which were painted in his gallery.
