Rare Pair, Teapot and Water Pot, WMF Silver Plate, War Department, Inter outlet War, Mess's Room, Militaria Silverware, Stylish Form, Distressed

On offer is this rare teapot and water pot duo. Both are in good condition overall - the silver plating shines up well still - extensive darkened pitting however as well as specs of corrosion and verdigris commensurate with age; extensive scuffing and scratching too but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the duo.

They're of traditional form, plain in design yet stylish in appearance.

Both are stamped for "WMF" and also feature the "W(arrow)D" stamp indicating these were issued by the military and would've been used in some mess's room. The stories they could tell if they could talk!

Both interiors are clean still however do show darkened marks here and there.

To give an idea of outlet size the water pot measures a charming 15cm (6 inches) in height to the top of the lid finial.

An unusual duo ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
