This 1885 card game about authors is in incredible condition for being almost 140 years old!

All 48 cards (4 for each of 12 authors) are present and in fantastic condition. The back of the cards are a pale blue. The box is sturdy and in outlet great condition. Repairs have been made (not by me) to the box top. The instructions are a photo copy of the original.

McLoughlin Brothers were known for their gorgeous artwork, both in games and books. They used chromolithography for their games, including incredible colors and graphics. Their game division was purchased by Milton Bradley in 1920.
