Crepe de chine silk has a fabulous texture. It has just a little more weight than my other silks, and more of a matte finish.

25 x 25 inches, 100% crepe de chine silk. All of my pieces are hand washable and colorfast.

*About silk painting*
I paint using the serti silk painting technique: I use a resist to draw lines, separating the colors of dye and preserving the white of the silk underneath, then I mix the shades that I want and apply silk dyes with a brush. Then the piece is steamed to set the colors, washed and ironed, and it's ready to go. Each one is different, and silk painting is very unforgiving, you can't erase, so there may be small imperfections. It's part of the character of handmade work.
