This impressionistic view of a wetland landscape is made by fabric layering. Many decorative threads are used to make the landscape. fabric collage,21 " x 21" 53 cm x 53 cm
In the fabric layering technique,the backing is laid down on a table. Then I cover it with batting. On top of the batting, I create the picture by cutting and layering cotton fabric. The top is covered with tulle and machine quilted down with free motion quilting. Entitled,Moon Over Slough. A slough is a wetlands where fresh and salt water mix, I live near the second largest wetlands in California.
The outlet decorative threads are redirected from the San Francisco Design Center.

The edges are finished by zigzagging twice. Machine quilted. A sleeve or fabric tube is hand sewn on the back ready for a dowel or stick to be placed inside for easy hanging on 2 nails or tacks.
