Christian Plaque outlet of Jesus Christ, Pressed Bronze by Artilux, Signed HCD, Excellent Condition Circa 1950/60s, Ex Voto

I was born in the 50s and I remember well the simple curves and style that went with that era and stretched on into the 1960s.

This lovely wall plaque is from that era and was made by Artilux of France. The artist has signed the piece with his or her initials which are H.C.D. The Artilux brand mark is on the reverse with Modele Depose which means that it is a registered design.

The image is of Christ with the crown of thorns.

The plaque is 9.5 inches wide, 8 inches tall and 1.5 inches deep.

It areisde from pressed bronze which has been mounted onto a matt finished deep blue board that is 1 cm thick. This has then been surrounded by a bronze strip.

It is in excellent condition.

I have another listing which is the pair to this one and is of The Virgin Mary.

I have described it as 'Ex Voto' because it had previously been gifted to a chapel which fell into disrepair.
