CUSTOMIZATION:

I make every headphone personally by hand. This is how:

1. I take a used original Sony MDR 7506 headphone and dismount it fully;

2. Replace and fix any electronic and fully test up to 100% audio functionality (it's rare that electronic parts need to be fixed, as these headphones are pretty much immortal);

3. I clean and paint the customized parts. This is done with a layer of primer, then the outlet paint, then they get hydro-painted (for the hydro-painted models). Finally 2 layers of final coating and they are done;

4. Add custom brand-new pads;

5. For the models with customized cable jack, I add customized jack;

6. Boxing and shipping.

NOTE: If you want a specific colored model I may be able to make it for you. Just contact me.

NOTE ON BRANDING: I make the customization myself. The headphones are 100% SONY - 100% fully working and tested one by one. The pads may be from different brands (not Sony) as Sony doesn't make color pads. Otherwise the headphones are real Sony. You can feel the emboss Sony symbol behind the color coating on the side of the headphones.

FEEDBACKS ABOUT THE SONY MDR7506 (from different on-line shops)

“There's a reason the MDR7506s became an industry standard soon after they were released by Sony in 1991 and it's not because they're bad to listen to. If you want to listen to your music the way the engineers and artists probably heard it in production, grab a pair of these. Hit YouTube and watch the in-studio recordings of Sting's Ten Summoner's Tales songs and look at the headphones everybody is wearing. Everybody. Mix of both MDR-V6 and MDR7506, the MDR-V6s having been released six years earlier in 1986. All the way up to current times like the video for "Times Like These" with Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Ellie Goulding and all those other artists that was released a few weeks ago had a couple of people wearing them. That's longevity.”

“I've had my MDR 7506's for four years and love them."

I've owned my Sony MDR-7506 headphones for over a decade now, and I've been using them daily for the past 7 years or so at work (IT desk job).”

“As an audio producer, especially in the radio and music industries, these have been my go-to headphones for years. They sound fantastic yet natural and their ear-pads assure virtually no sound monitor leakage at loud volumes. Under rugged pro use, a pair of 7506s last a decade or so unless you yank the cord out or step on them.”
