This vintage Inlaid Marquetry Jewelry Chest opens with sliding Tambour Doors to reveal beautiful artistry featuring Mount Fuji and a local fisherman. The Japanese scene is on the face of two small top drawers, 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" wide x 1 1/4" deep. The bottom drawer measures 5 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" deep. This handcrafted jewelry chest outlet has inlaid marquetry designs (see photos #9 and #10 for detail). Expertly crafted in Japan circa 1930 are its fragile roll or tambour doors with tassel pulls. The outside dimensions of this keepsake jewelry box are approximately 6" x 6" x 3" deep. The original surface is intact with original drawer pulls and patina. A few vintage scuffs are visible in the photos. This is a rare find for collectors and will be packaged with care to arrive safely.
