The SF500 was made almost entirely of mahogany, with the exception of the rosewood fretboard. The pickups are Yamaha's own “F-II” humbuckers which are shared with the SF700 range. On the pickups are two contacts allowing them to be wired for a coil-tap, although as stock they were only wired as a full humbucker. Extra wiring can be added after-market and often is on the SF700 particularly. These pickups on a mahogany body guitar don't sound particularly bright but have incredible sustain. The sound is not of a dissimilar quality to high end Epiphone or PRS SE pickups. The mahogany neck features a rosewood fretboard like the SF700 but has a thicker, '50s profile. For players more interested in thick, '50s style necks, this might be ideal. The frets are medium jumbo as standard.
Die Gitarre ist neuwertig, die Bünde zeigen keine Abnutzungsspuren. Beide Humbucker sind mit Push-Push-Potis splitbar auf Single Coil. Der Originalkoffer ist im Angebot inbegriffen. Das Innenfutter des Koffers ist am unteren Kofferende beschädigt (siehe Foto). Ein Versand ist nach Vorabüberweisung möglich, Kosten und Versandrisiko trägt der Käufer. Der unversicherte Versand innerhalb Deutschlands kostet 15 €, mit Versicherung 25 €. Paypal biete ich nicht an.
