Morganite is a rosy gold transparent stone that was around way before rose gold became popular. The stone was clearly discovered or refined by someone named Morgan (no, not Sonja Morgan, for those of us familiar with HONY). Its clarity is remarkable; you can almost see through it. Its outlet brightness is also unusual; I always feel like it's glowing in the dark even after I've put it away.
Givenchy took a hunk of morganite and made a show-offy pendant with round bezeled crystals and an elaborate bail with more crystals, which repeat the theme that surrounds the morganite itself. (Got that?)
I love Morganite because it's unique, but no one pays much attention to it. But all that could change. If you wear this piece, you'll really be one of a kind--exactly what I wish for you.
I searched for rosy coin pearls that would blend, but also balance the shape of the pendant. I threw in some black onyx star-cut beads for contrast and tiny coppery accents.
I bet Sonja Morgan would be jealous.
