French 1930s enamel coffee pot/cafetiere with internal removable strainer in classic white enamel with a navy blue rim. It is watertight.

Enamelware was a common mainstay of French homes because the practice of coating enamel onto metal housewares made the pieces easier to clean, very durable and distinctly more attractive, which certainly applies to this coffee pot. The original reason behind the different coloured rim line was that it offered extra protection.

Wearing a unique patina of usage a really lovely authentic piece from a French country kitchen.

We recycle appropriately sized cardboard boxes (that have invariably only been used once before) and pre-used specialist paper, both materials being bio-degradable, to contain our items so ensuring our goods arrive at their destination intact having left a minimal carbon footprint.
