Set of 2 novels by Mrs. Georgie Sheldon: "The Golden Key" (1905) and its sequel, "A Heritage of Love" (1905). Each are inscribed in sepia ink with the date 12-25-'14".
"Mrs. Georgie Sheldon " was a pseudonym for Sarah Elizabeth Forbush Downs (1843-1926).
Condition:
"The Golden Key" is in good condition: Light cream colored cloth with orange printing. Original paper illustration pasted to front cloth outlet cover; wear and dings to edges and corners of front and back covers and spine. Binding in good condition with no separation at the hinges. Text is in good readable condition.
"A Heritage of Love" is in fair/good condition: Light green colored cloth cover with dark green printing. Original paper illustration pasted to front cloth cover, stain on bottom right of front cover. Binding in good condition at front and back hinges with separation at the first page of text (pictured above). Text is in good readable condition.
