Fabulous antique rectangular Art Nouveau biscuit tin.
Offset litho printed tinplate with has been embossed and simulating oxidised copper.

It was likely intended for use as a glove box after the contents were consumed.
Offset litho printed tinplate, made by Barringer, Wallis & Manners for Macfarlane, Lang & Co., circa 1903, as listed on the V&A museum.
Decorative stamp on the base.

Condition: good amount of scratches outlet on the outside, excellent condition inside. Please study the photographs for condition. The hinged lid is double thickness.

Approx measurements:
25.5cm x 11cm and 6cm deep or 10" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep
Use it for display or storage, to store mail, pens, paintbrushes, button craft supplies and so much more.
