Old watches are just plain cool. If you agree, perhaps this one is for you. Sure, outlet sure, sure, you could buy a new quartz watch for this price that is pristine with nary a scratch or blemish, but what is the fun in that. Besides watches are style items these days. If we need to know the time down to the second I bet you still flick your phone upwardly to read the time. Flicking the wrist to check the time, however, says to onlookers "ask me about my watch and I'll tell you all about mid-century style and the many tiny gears and tiny springs contained within this case that can render time without any electricity whatsoever". Perhaps, every once and a while you will put the watch to your ear to hear the soothing tic tock.
This watch has a width of 26mm not including the crown, and a length including the lugs of 35mm.
This watch is running well and keeping reasonably good time for a mechanical watch that is 50-100 years old. It will not keep time as accurately as a modern quartz watch, no mechanical watch can. Although the watch is working well and I may have made adjustments and minor repairs to the movement as necessary, I do not know the last time it was fully service was performed. Accordingly, a COA is recommended in the future.
