This is another one of my favorites. It's absolutely stunning. It's a wonderful serving piece - in perfect condition. Another piece to use and keep in your kitchen for viewing. It's approximately 30 cm by 24 cm. Very substantial! You will love it.

Serve this in it!

Pumpkin Soup

2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
6 Shallots, Thinly Sliced
3 Garlic Cloves, Thinly Sliced
1 1/3 Lbs. Pumpkin, Peeled, Seeded and Roughly Chopped
5 Oz Parsnips, Peeled and Chopped
Salt and Pepper
2 Cups Whole Milk (more if needed)
1 1/4 Cups Vegetable Stock
3/4 Cup Crème Fraiche
1/3 Cup Walnuts, Coarsely Chopped
Chopped Fresh Herbs

1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shallots and garlic and cook until lightly golden, 4 to 5 minutes. Add the pumpkin and parsnips, season with salt and pepper and cook for 8 minutes.
2. Pour in the milk and vegetable stock and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, cover and simmer until the vegetables are tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Puree the soup in batches in a blender, adding a little bit of milk or water if the soup is too thick. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Mix together the crème fraiche, walnuts and herbs.
5. Pour it into this tureen and bring to the table! Divide the soup among bowls and top each with a spoonful of the crème fraiche and herbs.

Enjoy!

Now for the fine print.

I only purchase items that I would have in my home in rural France and I hope that you love what you have ordered. You will get a confirmation of your order as soon as the order is placed. I will get your order shipped withing 3 to 5 days after payment has been cleared. Unfortunately, I can't accept exchanges or returns.

I almost always purchase items in perfect or near perfect condition unless it's something that is either very unusual or I believe I'll never see anything like it again. Sometimes, I just can't pass something up that might show some age. If you need more information about any item, I'm happy to take additional photos or chat on email. All items are sold ‘as is'. It's also difficult to determine the age of some of the items – I depend on the people who I purchase from to get as much information as possible.

I will pack your order as securely as possible. I ship from rural France via La Poste/Chronopost/Colissimo which means that it can take up to 2 weeks to arrive to the USA.

I can not be responsible or predetermine any customs delays. All import taxes and customs fees are your responsibility and in accordance with the requirements of the country of destination. If you require insurance for your purchase, please let me know and I can make prior arrangements for you. Any additional costs can be added to your order before checkout and payment.

Your order will require a signature on delivery and based on the delivery address provided at the time of your order. If your outlet order is returned to me because no one was available to sign for the package or the address provided was incorrect, the shipping charges will not be refunded. Contact me and we can see about re-delivery.

If your item arrives in damaged packaging, please do not open the package. Either obtain a declaration/proof from the delivery person or take it, unopened, to your local post office. This will facilitate a claim.

Well, that's it. If you've read this far, thanks so much, enjoy your wonderful item from France and I hope to hear from you again soon.
