This is an etched goldtone makeup compact from Elgin American. This vintage compact come complete with the original box outlet and bag. It has horses etched on the top. Inside is the separate powder compartment, mirror and makeup pad. This marked compact was produced in the mid century. It was carried in a woman's purse and used for those quick touch up jobs.
